Melanie Anton Def

                                                                                     is an Argentine designer, art director, set designer, and director. She stands out for her ability to imagine and construct unique, striking visual worlds with a profound aesthetic sense. Her work is characterized by the creation of dreamlike universes that enhance the stories and leave a recognizable visual mark.

She graduated as an Image and Sound Designer from the University of Buenos Aires and from the beginning, showed interest in creating unique identities for artists, brands, and film projects.

Since then, she has worked on more than 300 productions, including music videos, films, commercials, installations, and live shows. Her versatility and creative vision have allowed her to collaborate with more than 60 musical artists (such as Tini, Miranda!, Lali, Emilia, Bzrp, Shakira, Duki, Rauw Alejandro, among others) and with more than 40 renowned brands, both in Argentina and abroad (such as Adidas, Got2b, Microsoft, Sedal, Mercadolibre, Samsung, Arcor, among others).

In 2019, together with industrial designer Agustín Jauregui, he founded the daJaus ® studio , specializing in design and art direction for audiovisual projects, immersive installations, and impactful stage designs.

In 2021, they temporarily settled in Madrid, where they worked on La Piedad, the latest film by Spanish director Eduardo Casanova. The film won awards at five international festivals (Fantastic Fest in Texas, Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic, Fantasia in Montreal, Cine Ceará in Brazil, and Strasbourg Film Festival), and Melanie received a nomination for Best Art Direction at the 2023 Goya Awards.

As a director, her most recent work is the series of 15 video clips for Hotel Miranda! and Nuevo Hotal Miranda!, a pop reinterpretation project of greatest hits with which she won the award for Best Long Format at the 2024 Gardel Awards and Best Art Direction at the 2023 Video Prisma Awards. Produced by Bebas.TV, an audiovisual production company she founded with Sol Schostik in 2020.

Currently, in addition to her audiovisual work, Melanie is dedicated to the creative and general direction of live shows, developing staging for tours, festivals, and special presentations. She also creates immersive installations that merge art, music, and technology, always with a playful, pop, and emotional sensibility.
